A Message from Our Superintendent

Welcome to Little Red School, SCED 28, home of the mighty Mustang!

The school district of SCED 28 is committed to providing all students with quality, personalized learning that prepares students to meet current and future challenges. Our K–8 school has a “family-like” approach where every child receives personal attention; high quality education; numerous co-curricular opportunities within our after school sports and Friday program; and an academic culture where students, staff, parents, and the community value high achievement. It is our priority at Little Red to focus on each student individually; our teachers work extremely hard to improve achievement and to work on delivering curriculum in which all students can learn. No exceptions!

This year the district (and state) continues to implement Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards. The standards bring thinking skills to each subject. Society is changing rapidly, and simply knowing an answer isn’t good enough. Students must be able to think and problem solve to develop their own solutions. It is our goal to develop students who have the ability to think critically, apply knowledge at high levels, and use technology to meet the current and future challenges in the 21st century.
